Your Eyes

I'm fascinated by your eyes.
Transparent deep grayish-green
Almond-shaped, traced lightly
By full chocolate-cream lashes.
You observe the world discreetly
With the ever-present shades on.
As the frame is raised up,
Secured in your wild tousled curls,
I'm arrested on the spot
By the strength of your gaze,
Open and direct, wisely naive.
You take the world in,
Reflecting back a version beautified.
More plentiful and vibrant,
Adding charm to the objects once mundane,
And interactions once dull.
As intense endless blends of espresso
Are created from simple beans,
Your glance transforms all into magic.
