Burning Man

I went to the Burning Man without any expectations, ending up discovering a new world. I came back expecting to seamlessly blend into my reality, but suffering a withdrawal instead. After a few days, the emotions came to a balance, the thoughts organized themselves, and the feelings started to provide additional inspiration to my everyday life.

What is Burning Man?

Nature and the elements
Purity of the sand; child-like joy at the sight of a double rainbow; rawness of the desert; mercilessness and cleansing power of the wind; purifying brightness of the rising sun, large and pink, looming over the horizon.

Primitive society
Forgetting the bounds of communication; trusting your neighbour with touching naivety; sharing for the sake of the action; shedding the layers, being vulnerable in natural nudity; self-organizing into givers or takers.

Freedom
Adrenaline of discovery; exuberance of limitless choices and possibilities; unrestricted movement and self-expression; complete lack of societal judgement; re-initiation into childhood.

Creativity and play
Unrestrained silliness; letting go of the dullness of adulthood; making things that existed only in your head a reality; permission to make anything possible; dancing wildly until exhaustion.

Beauty
Stunning beauty of human creation combined with the beauty of the creators; appreciation of simplicity - dust-covered faces, smooth ground of the desert, moment of awakening in the morning.

Relationships
Joy and grief, side by side; co-existing without habitual comforts; taking risks and growing together; seeing the state of no inhibitions; learning the art of acceptance, thus re-affirming love

And this summaries it nicely:
